Everything happens for a reason.
Does the Lubitel not have a double exposure lock, or do you just turn it off?
Any portraits you have taken with it? I've read that people who used old Rolleicords for fun found their Triotars (which are a triplet lens like the Lubitel's) to be interesting in portraits, when softness is desirable in some sense.
