The wonderful Naima kept me going in Paris, serving me espresso in the mornings, beer at night, and cans of coke in between...

*Because I really didn't sleep that much*

Portraits that add context are my favourite kind, I think. It's great if someone is pretty or something, but their identity is made up of so much more. Naima here was working at the bar for at least 12 hours a day every day, and any portrait would be missing a key part of her identity out if it missed that out.

Totally agree with the portraits in context. Theare far more interesting and show so much more than a simple headshot could. 12 hours? long day.
